I have always been a fan of Donald Glover as a comedian, television performer, and even as a hip hop artist. While I will not go so far as to say Childish Gambino is a super talented MC, but he makes some decent songs that I can get behind, and a personality that is inviting. He has gotten a lot of flack for well, being himself. I have even gotten some for supporting him, even though I say that he is more of a guilty pleasure, than someone I would bring around in a “who’s better than who?” debate. This track which the Internet has titled “We Ain’t Them” is a response to many critics who have taken aim at Gambino. This is one of those songs where he does show his improvements over his first releases, and shows that he can actually rhyme pretty well.

Three members of the New York syndicate known as World’s Fair drop a new track, it is a dedication somewhat to Jasmine Guy; an actress that was featured on television shows like “A Different World” and the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Airm and Showtime’s “Dead Like Me” (I am perfectly comfortable in the fact only I remember her from that show).

Within the first instant of pressing play on this new video from the always unpredictable Death Grips, I found myself glued to the screen. Their sophomore album “The Money Store” is on iTunes, and other digital retailers.

New single from Ricky the Boss…off that “God Forgives, I Don’t”. I always find it funny how I don’t care how hardcore your album title is…dude’s still lead off with that song for the chicks. A dude could have a CD titled “Quick to Kill a Nigga”…first single…featuring John Legend “I Want to Love You”. This joint is hella smooth…I’m just saying.

The first single off the collaboration album between New York City’s own Smoke DZA, and producer Harry Fraud gets an interesting visual. Smoke makes the wrestling nerd in me explode as he actually has New Jack in the video.

Pitchfork takes us into the life of Detroit rapper Danny Brown. We see him talk about life, music, and even see him in the studio dropping some features. It is an interesting take on him, as we see members of his family and entourage.

If for some reason, you do not have your ears wrapped around Ab-Soul’s “Control System” today, well I will call you a fool. Regardless, Ab-Soul decided to give you one more reason by unleashing this track, bringing his brother in arms along. The track is well… I do not think I have to really convince you of anything after you listen to this. The almost six minute track is going to be a blessing on those long train rides from the Bronx to Brooklyn for me.
