RisR Radio: Ill Camille and Lyric Jones Speak on Visibility in Hip-Hop and Inspire Women to Step Up and Be Great

Lyric Jones Ill Camille KPFK

RisR gives you a double dose of dopeness with two great lyricists, Ill Camille and Lyric Jones. The two sat down with Bruce and Vida to discuss representations of Black women in the media, being visible in Hip-Hop, and stressed the importance of women being bold and about their business despite the overarching obstacles. This episode hit home for some of our listeners. After the show, one woman volunteering at the studio was near tears because our guests touched on points that really hit home for her.

Again we had some thank you gifts for the realists that donated to support the show. You can catch the Reality is Real Radio show live Thursdays at 12AM midnight on 90.7FM in Los Angeles and streaming live all over the world at www.KPFK.org.
