Nigerian Artist Wizkid to Perform at “One Africa Music Festival” to Bring Awareness to Nigeria’s 218 Missing Schoolgirls

A “Drake co-sign” has been viewed as a sign of upcoming success, Nigeria’s Wizkid, featured on Drake’s chart topping single “One Dance,” has far more important things on his mind.

Wizkid will be performing at the One Africa Music Festival July 22nd at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The festival was created to bring attention back to the 218 schoolgirls still missing since 276 were kidnapped back in 2014 in Nigeria by Boko Haram.

While the Hashtag #BringBackOurGirls drew attention to the situation in 2014, efforts to keep awareness alive via social media have continued via Facebook, and Twitter.

Tickets for One Africa Music Festival can be purchased here. Props to Wizkid and everyone involved in making this happen.
