Whitney Houston: 1963-2012: THE VOICE

By now everyone has heard about the passing of the GREAT Ms. Whitney Houston on February 11, 2012 at 3:55 p.m. Words can’t begin to express the sadness the world feels let alone her FAMILY. A lot of media outlets are speculating about the cause of death due to some of Whitney’s struggles. However, no one has a definite answer as to how this happened to the greatest VOICE of all time.

It was reported that Whitney was found in the bathtub by her bodyguard Ray at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in LA. She was preparing for the annual Clive Davis Pre-Grammy party but sadly never made it. I prayed that this was some kind of a joke. Through all of her highs and lows people must be mindful this woman was someone’s daughter, mother and friend who gave the world timeless music that will stand the test of time. Not only was she a vocal powerhouse but stunningly beautiful! She made white America take notice of how beautiful black women are. There are not enough words, time  or space to truly breakdown what Whitney meant to the WORLD. My prayers go out to her family…her beloved mother Cissy, her one and child Bobbi Kristina. 

I think it really hurts because Whitney was like (at least to me) your favorite aunt, talented, beautiful, fun and super kind. She was the kind of aunt who would pray for you, lift you up when you’re down but you knew not play around with her. She was the aunt who had struggles that the family knew about but you loved her because she was so fly! You wanted her to win so bad but no matter her struggle you never treated her any different. You LOVED her!

The world will NEVER have another Whitney Elizabeth Houston, rest in Peace auntie Whit. God has welcomed you into his loving arms.
