Prop 8 overturned, happy and cautious at the same time

I’m very happy about prop 8 has been overturned. Gay couples tend to have more disposable income, so they’re good for the economy, along with the fact that it’s a humann rights issue not a moral issue. In the 50′s the public voted to ban interraicial marriage because at the time society was still openly racist. The supreme court overturned the vote because the rights of the minority cannot be denied because of the predjudice of the majority. The majority of Californians also voted to deny minorities the right to own property should we have let that stand to? It passed by over 60%. Having said that, a friend of mine asked a great question when it comes to kids, should two men really be raising a girl? Yes they’re capable, but should it be done and vice versa. One of the biggest problems we have with our young men today is that they’re being raised by women… It makes you think.
