Reality is Real

Make it a Blockbuster  Best Buy week.

               This week is heavy on the movies and R & B. As for the movies, “Inglourious Basterds” drops this week, along with “The Hangover” and “Boogie Nights”. My pick? “Boogie Nights” is classic, and “Inglourious Basterds” is dopeness, “The Hangover”…I don’t know. I skipped past that joint when it was in theaters, it looked like “stupid comedy” to me. Not “stupid comedy” like “Damn Stifler is stupid in “American Pie, it’s hilarious” stupid like…”This shit is stupid,” I can’t judge it too harshly, and with Best Buy having it going for $15.99 on Blu-Ray, those looking to try it out wouldn’t lose too much. “Inglourious Basterds” is going for $17.99 @ Best Buy Blu-Ray, while “Boogie Nights” is @ normal Blu-Ray pricing.

               Meanwhile, on the R & B side, there’s two major releases this week. Alicia Keys is dropping here 4th album “The Element of Freedom”, while Robin Thicke is dropping “Sex Therapy”.  I’ve attempted to listen to Alicia’s joint, but honestly, I haven’t gotten into it. I’ve been recopping all my CD’s, (which was @ 300 plus retail discs prior to a crackhead breaking into one of my people’s  cars), and a dope disc from Alicia could persuade me to cop her short discography in one visit to the store, but I just haven’t gotten into this joint yet. I haven’t heard anything from the Robin Thicke album outside of “Meiple”…so I don’t know. I may have to give Robin’s joint a test drive tomorrow at work. Jay-z said it’s dope, but then again, I’d imagine he’d say that Rihanna Cd is dope too…and I’d beg to differ.

            While the re-release of the Jordan 11 “Space Jams” isn’t until next week (Dec. 23), I’d advise sneaker heads to be on the lookout online this week. If you want to avoid waiting outside of a shoe store for 24+ hours, browse the internet daily, and be ready to pay more than the $175 retail price these joints will be going for in stores next Wednesday. No biggie though, if you cop them, and then feel like an asshole for spending over $200 on kicks, I’d imagine you can sell them for at least $400.
