Rapper Retirement Home: Hang it up woadie!

               So, I was over at RapRadar, and I seen Juvenile has a new video. Who? It’s safe to say Juvie’s been away so long, most people have forgotten he existed. Actually, I was joking. I remember him, I just don’t too much care for dude. Juvenile is from New Orleans, and with  Curren$y hooking up with another New Orleans spitter, Jay Electronica, and Mos Def, it appears the N.O. is on some new shit, that old shit just isn’t interesting anymore. Lil Wayne has stepped his game up tremendously since the original Cash Money days…Juvenile, not so much.

I came up with the idea of the rapper retirement home because while people complain about Jay Z needing to retire, there’s a lot of other cats a lot more deserving of a rocking chair and a Nintendo Wii-mote. What is Juvenile bringing to the game? Gotta get it? Nigga if you’ve been in the game that long, and haven’t gotten it yet, you’re never gonna get it. His music is a result of the whole “I’m not a rapper, I’m a hustler” shit. First of all, most of the people who believe that phrase represents them, aren’t hustlers. If Juvenile was, he wouldn’t need to rap. On top of that, when he’s forced to continue rapping, because he can’t do anything else, he’s a 40 year old man, spitting 20 year old man rhymes. Besides spitting his own tired rhymes, Juvenile has brought other whack rappers (Wacko and Skip) into the game, and of course, beat on women. Juvie beating on women is no big deal though, he’s not Chris Brown, and they aren’t Rihanna, so nobody cares. Bullshit aside, artists need to mature, if we wanted to his old shit, we’d buy his old albums.
