8 teams gives us 4 matchups. RealityisReal.com is representing with 3 of the squads….let’s look back at what happened.
1. Long Beach Smash Squad (0-1) against Team Garcia (0-1)
Coming out of Sunday, my Smash Squad was up by like 18, and all Team Garcia had to rep for them in the Monday night game was Dallas Clark. Easy win right? 18 point lead and nothing but a TE left…sure. Dallas Clark went on to have the best fantasy game for a TE not named Antonio Gates. 28 points, are you serious? Peyton came out and gunned one to Clark who broke for a long TD and damn near beat me on that play alone. I can’t be too upset, my sleeping in kept me from subbing Wes Welker (on injured reserve) out, and I decided to go with Tom Brady at QB over Phillip Rivers…big mistake. So Team Garcia was led by Dallas Clarks 28 points, the Vikings D’s 21, and Colston’s 21. Meanwhile, my squad was damn near only Chris Johnson’s 68 points.
Final Score
Team Garcia 125 (1-1)
Long Beach Smash Squad 115 (0-2)
2. Prynce Cin (0-1) against Union Republic (0-1)
You gotta love people who take the time to name their fantasy squads. This game ended in a complete blowout as Prynce Cin’s squad ran away with it led by Frank Gore’s 58 points. Matt Ryan also put up a decent 18 points for Prynce Cin’s team, while the leading scorer for the Union Republic was Kurt Warner with 17 points. Mistake of the game? I hate calling it a mistake, because logic would tell you when you got Kurt Warner against Jacksonville, and Matt Schaub against the Titans, you start Kurt Warner. Logic, like the cake, and according to racists idiots, Obama, are all lies! Schaub went for 38, but did it on Union Republics bench. This game was blown so far open though, Schaub’s 38 over Warner’s 17 still would have resulted in a loss.
Final Score
Prynce Cin 135 (1-1)
Union Republic 83 (0-2)
3. Team Bedford (1-0) vs Team Banana Clipse (1-0)
This week all the teams who won in week 1 played each other, so there could only be 2 undefeated teams come week 3. In a matchup between the squad with the number 1 pick (Banana Clipse) vs the squad with the number 2 pick…the number 2 pick prevailed. This was a pretty low scoring game. Both teams combined for 155 points…that’s 20 points higher than this weeks highest scoring team (Prynce Cin’s squad). B-Clipse is working with an auto-pick squad, but with Adrian Peterson not getting the Madden cover, the autopicks first choice should keep him in most games during the season. All Day put up 15 points, yet came in behind Jay Cutler’s 17 for Team B-Clipse. This matchup came down to Team Bedford’s Peyton Manning performance on Monday. Even though the Colt’s only had the rock for 14 plus minutes, Peyton still found a way to put up 29 points, which gave Team Bedord the win. Had Team B-Clipse started Darren Sproles who put up 24 against the Ravens as opposed to Jonathan Stewart, who put up 7 points against the Falcons, he would have won. Would have.
Final Score
Team Bedford 85 (2-0)
Team B-Clipse 70 (1-1)
Match up of the Week
Future Space Bong Lords (1-0) against Long Beach Fill In Squad (1-0)
In the end, only one RealityisReal.com team could go undefeated anyway, so we settled it in week 2. When my fill in team faced reflectivespacetimbz Bong Lords, it went just like it goes down on Fifa…I beat that ass. There are many reasons why the Bonglords took their first L in week 2, other than the fact they were facing my squad, the 2nd reason they lost was RST’s faith in Cowgirls QB Tony Romo, who spaced out and only put up 9 points. While TO’s ex “quataback” couldn’t reach double digits, his peer on the other end of the field, Eli Manning, put up 26. Faith in the Cowgirls QB, and the Cowgirls themselves to stop Eli could have cost the BongLords the win. Well…could have, but with Brees going for 27, Andre Johnson putting up 30, and Ocho Cinco getting the end zone, they still would have lost had he started Eli over Romo. To make matters worse, my Fill In Squad had Ronnie Brown on the bench, and he went for 29. This could have been uglier. In th early match-up for RealityisReal supremacy, as always, I WIN!
Final Score:
Future Space Bonglords 74
Long Beach Fill In Squad 104
Matchup of the upcoming week
Long Beach Fill In Squad (2-0) against Prynce Cin (1-1)
In this game, the top scoring team of week 1, (LBFIS) will face the top scoring team of week 2. The projections? Of course ESPN predicts my team will win…that’s the smart thing to do. Keys for Prynce Cin’s squad will be Fitzgerald getting his swag back against the Colt’s, Manningham embarrassing my Bucs, and the Giants D picking off Leftwhichfucking team is dumb enough to start me 5 times. That probably won’t help much, seeing as Fill in Squad has Drew Brees facing Buffalo, which should be good for 50 points alone. Add in Brandon Jacobs running over my Bucs, and the Titans D giving Mark Sanchez the Marquez treatment, and I should be good.
