Alice In Chains….

…is on the come back….

So I finnally heard Alice in Chains’ new single from their next album. What? Its been like 14 years since their last album. Well the next Album is called “Black Gives Way to Blue”. So MY impression of their new single…well is that its really fucking good! First I gotta address the most glaring problem with the “new” Alice in Chains..there’s no Layne Staley. Since Layne Staley Died in 2002 it forced AiC to go into a hiatus, which in turn caused Jerry Contrell. (The main song writer and back up vocals of the band.) to do a couple of solo albums. Then, out of nowhere, Alice in Chains started touring again with this weird lookin dude by the name of William DuVall. William has been around the block and with them touring before they put any new material so all he could sing was old Layne Staley songs. He did a decent job at that.

So with the new single he’s the lead vocalist and the sound is very similar to past AiC, but more new age. No telling how the album is going to turn out, but I am excited for sure. Look for the album to drop sometime in September
