Some Thoughts on Blazblue

 

As you may already know, Blazblue is a 2-d Fighting game created by Arc System Works. Arc systems is mostly known for they’re most popular series,Guilty Gear. Blazblue is the spiritual successor to GG in many ways.

Blazblue was released for consoles June 30. You might have missed this game because its not widely known and isn’t very accessible to the more casual player. Despite the off putting looks and outlandish characters, I highly recommend this game. Blazblue is very easy to get into, and the whole game is very rewarding if you put some time into it.

I thought I had it all back in February when I was playing street fighter 4, but once I got Blazblue I realized just how bad street fighter 4 turned out. I could go on and on about how I think Blazblue is better, but I plan on elaborating on the differences and how Blazblue is superior to ST 4. One thing I do have to talk about is online lobbies. This is were Blazblue shines…not only is the online in BB less laggy and better in general, but you get 6 player lobbies. Guess how many you get in SF 4? Try 2! I mean this is a huge downfall for SF 4. I can’t tell you how many times I would often have multiple people asking me to play Street Fighter and I would have to fight them one at a time in a bunch of different sessions and most of the time never get to play everyone I want to.

Everyone should give this game a chance. Rent it ,or just go buy it, you won’t be disappointed. If I can get my 38 year old brother into it, then anyone can get into Blazblue. Look for a Post Sometime on Monday, where I will explain the differences of Street fighter 4 and Blazblue.
